Karen Gaunt – Director & Pole Fitness, Aerial Silks and Aerial Yoga Fitness Instructor

I have been a fitness fanatic for about 18 years, I used to love body pump, body attack, body combat and spin classes... but then I found Pole! Pole Fitness was something completely different, a real challenge and an incredible body workout! I started Pole Fitness in 2007 and found that I was relatively good at it due to the strength I’d built up in the gym.

I have performed in various showcases and events around the West Midlands and in 2014 I started competing in pole championships with my doubles partner Laura Leather. I love power moves, pole flips and drops, when I’m not teaching or rehearsing for competitions you will find me face planting the crash mats trying out the latest pole craze.

As well as pole, I have also trained on Aerial Silks, Aerial Hoop and Aerial Yoga for several years and find a combination of all disciplines has totally sculptured my body.

In 2014 I opened this beautiful studio with my good friend and business partner Gail Robinson. We now have a very successful business and I love passing on my knowledge and skills to other people that have the same passion as me. Seeing my students progress is as exciting as accomplishing the moves myself.

Once you start coming to Addictive Fitness you become part of our family and we’re really proud of the positive atmosphere that we have created... there's never been a more addictive form of fitness!

I teach a regular Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Pole Fitness classes, Youth Intermediate Aerial Silks and Hoop classes, Mixed Ability Adults Aerial Silks and Hoop classes and Aerial Yoga classes.
